"Cover your K-9" Criteria

1.    The agency must submit a request to W.S.P.C.A on department letterhead.  The request must be signed by a department administrator that holds the rank of lieutenant or higher.  The request must include;

a)    Name and DOB of each dog for which a vest is requested.
b)    Date of K9 team certification
c)    Name of handler

2.    The agency or team must be a member in good standing of W.S.P.C.A.

3.    The handler agrees that the vest belongs to the agency.  If the handler and K9 leave the service of the agency and the vest has not reached its expiration date, the vest remains with the agency.  If the vest reaches it expiration and the team retires or leaves service the vest will become the property of the handler.

4.    W.S.P.C.A. will allocate $800.00 for the purchase of a vest if an agency wants to purchase a particular brand other then that vest that is offered by W.S.P.C.A.  The $800.00 check will only be distributed to the vendor of such vest and not to any individual or agency.

5.    The W.S.P.C.A. Board of Directors or their appointed designee(s) have the decision making power for the distribution of funds based on the above established criteria.
